How Fugle built WorthPic

Updated October 17, 2026 · about 3 min read

The site you are on, a service that identifies almost anything from a photo and tells you honestly what it is worth, was designed and developed by Fugle. Fugle is a Norwegian studio that builds all kinds of websites, from simple company sites to complete products with automation and AI, and takes every project from idea to launch. This page explains what WorthPic is, how it was built, and what Fugle can build for you.

What WorthPic is

You pick a category, such as coins, trading cards, watches, bags, jewelry, stamps and banknotes, toys or art, and upload one to four photos. WorthPic identifies the item, gives an honest value range in US dollars with a most likely figure, explains what drives the price, and tells you which photo would settle anything it cannot read. The result can be downloaded as a PDF report, and signed-in users keep a history of their scans.

The idea is simple: most things people find in a drawer or inherit are common, and a few are worth real money. WorthPic says which is which, plainly and respectfully, and points to the specialist who can settle the valuable cases in person.

How it came together

1

Built on experience

WorthPic grew out of WatchScanning, the watch authentication service Fugle built earlier. Instead of starting from scratch, WorthPic builds on what that product proved, and widens the scope from watches to almost anything you can photograph.

2

A specialist for every category

Each of the twelve categories has its own specialist, so a coin is read the way a coin dealer would read it and a handbag the way a bag expert would. Alongside the scanner, WorthPic publishes a growing library of guides on identifying and valuing things.

Not just AI photo sites

WorthPic and WatchScanning are two of the AI products Fugle has built, but they are only one part of the work. Fugle builds all kinds of websites: company sites for small businesses, landing pages for projects and ideas, booking systems, ordering solutions for restaurants and sites that take payments. Some need AI, most do not. What they have in common is that they are fast, work well on a phone and are built to be found on Google.

What Fugle builds for businesses

Fugle builds everything from a simple website to a complete product. The work falls into four areas, and every project is priced individually:

Frequently asked questions

Who built WorthPic?

WorthPic was designed and developed by Fugle, a Norwegian studio that builds websites, automation and AI products. Fugle delivered the whole product, from concept and design to launch, plus the content strategy behind the guides.

What does Fugle do?

Fugle builds websites of every kind for businesses and projects: company sites, landing pages, booking and ordering systems, and complete products with payments, automation and AI. AI photo services like WorthPic are one part of the work, not the whole of it. Every project is taken from idea to launch.

How much does it cost to have Fugle build something?

Fugle prices each project individually, because a simple website and a complete AI product are very different jobs. Describe what you need at fugle.no and you get a concrete proposal.

Does Fugle only build AI sites like WorthPic?

No. WorthPic and WatchScanning are examples of AI products, but Fugle builds ordinary websites too, from a simple site for a local business to booking and ordering systems. When AI is useful, such as photo analysis, chat assistants or automations that replace manual work, Fugle can build that as well.

What else has Fugle built?

Besides WorthPic, Fugle has built WatchScanning, BetBott, AiStil, Scrolling.no, Skriving.no and FootyVote. The common thread is complete products, taken from idea to launch under one roof.
